Common Unity at the ReMakery

Common Unity Project Aotearoa is a registered charity and well known community hub. Through a lens of sustainability and creativity, we empower our community to grow, connect, regenerate, learn and remember. We celebrate the abundance of gifts in our community and work hard to address challenges that affect us all.

Our Sew Good and Beeple collectives are an integral part of

Common Unity.

These initiatives reflect our deep commitment to people and the planet—supporting social and environmental wellbeing. Through these collectives, we not only create meaningful, handcrafted goods but also generate an income that helps sustain our work.

Sew Good Collective

Within our Sew Good enterprise, donated fabrics are transformed into new and unique products. Each product is a one off with the fabric carefully selected to create a new and beautiful product. The sale of these products helps fund our Community Sewing Classes.

Beeple Collective

A staggering 52 percent of our supermarket produce is completely reliant on a bee at some point in its creation. If we feed the bees, the bees feed us! By supporting beehives in backyards around the Te Awakairangi ki Tai we are acknowledging the value of these small heroes who provide us with beautiful honey and beeswax to make exciting new products.Together, we spread sweet goodness.
